However, the downside is that many businesses have custom fields or validation rules that ChatGPT doesn’t know about, so it can’t address those. An admin could use ChatGPT to draft most of a knowledge article and adjust it to fit their business needs.
What are your thoughts about generative AI in the Salesforce ecosystem?
I’ll be honest – after trying it out for a while, my first thought was this: “Blog and content writers, including me, should be worried, but most admins probably don’t need to stress.” Businesses will always have unique practices, and users often ask for things that are not best practices. While ChatGPT can summarize information from the internet, it still seems to lack proper understanding.
Do you have any specific use cases for using ChatGPT in Salesforce?
ChatGPT can benefit ecosystem beginners. It can help new admins learn about formula functions and validation rules or assist developers in writing their first piece of Apex. You can also use it to create Lightning Components for demos quickly.
However, be careful because the output might not always be valid or use a real Salesforce function!
What are your thoughts about generative AI in the Salesforce ecosystem?
This AI has great potential to change how we work, learn, and collaborate shortly. However, it has been temporarily banned from the #TrailblazerCommunity for a good reason.
It creates formula functions that don’t exist and will do exactly what you ask. Just because it writes code for you doesn’t mean the code is the best solution to your problem or that it follows best practices, like Salesforce Governor Limits.

I have a unique situation for non-native English speakers who struggle to express their ideas in writing. I encourage my team to use this approach.
I advise my team to list their key ideas with a specific prompt in bullet points. This helps ChatGPT customize its writing. It provides a clear starting point, allowing them to check the information for accuracy and make small changes within a solid structure.

Change is essential – there's no turning back! Generative AI can turn hours of research and trial and error into a few simple prompts, giving you a good starting point for any project. Development is most affected – using tools like Apex with Einstein GPT or specific Visual Studio extensions is amazing!

ChatGPT helps me plan my daily schedule. It saves me time by guiding me through challenges. I also double-check my work.
Since ChatGPT understands coding, it helps me find errors and solve problems.

AI could lead to some junior developers losing their jobs. AI is growing quickly, and we now have more tools like Einstein GPT. Relying on AI might make people think less since it does much of the work for us.

The best use of this technology is in customer support. Businesses that already use a chatbot or plan to use one can now pair ChatGPT's powerful AI features with their data in Salesforce. This will help businesses reduce the number of cases they need to handle.

Generative AI can help you make the most of your expert skills. The Salesforce ecosystem grows quickly, making it impossible to stay an expert on every cloud and feature over time. But is it necessary to?
You can become an AI-supported generalist. Suppose you understand the business problems Salesforce can solve and develop expert knowledge in those areas. In that case, generative AI can give you the detailed help you need in almost any Salesforce field.
