With the latest Winter release of 2020 Salesforce has introduced some powerful tools and gives high-value benefits to the users and as well as the developers.

Do note a few highlights in Winter '21 affect all clients following the delivery goes live. It’s imperative to share this information with the clients so they are prepared for them. Different highlights require direct activity by an overseer before a client can benefit from them.

In this blog we have listed 4 important Salesforce Winter ’21 Features for consideration:

1) Flow Updates

This release is a major one for non-programmatic admins to manage deleted records. While Salesforce doesn’t seem to be wanting to update any other automation tool in the near future, you may rely on Flow to get better with time.

The following can be done through the flow updates:

  • Create a flow to perform actions right before a record is deleted from the database.

  • Test flows as the users who run them

  • Debug auto launched flows right in the canvas (beta).

  • Optimize your flow screens with sections and columns (pilot).

  • Eliminate crooked, misaligned connectors with auto-layout (beta).

  • Run flows or implement decision outcomes only when records are updated to meet your criteria.

2) Salesforce Anywhere

Salesforce Anywhere allows you to experience Salesforce with a unique perspective.

It enables a user to subscribe to alerts based on their preferences and interact across desktop and mobile. It is also empowered to message and share across with your team through chat, voice and video that will be embedded in your processes. One can also see record history and take suggested actions powered by AI.

3) Interactive Email Builder

Email Builder helps you to make engaging, interactive, and innovative email messages.

Email continues to be the preferred method for communicating with clients, etc. One may now use a WYSIWYG (What you see is what you get) builder to make Email templates. Using a familiar Lightning App Builder style screen provides Salesforce with a major boost in the domain of email creation.

4) Dynamic Survey Pages

With Winter ’21, you can now curate individualized customer journeys by defining which survey page they can skip to the next based on the Salesforce data.

Salesforce org determines which survey page participants are able to see next. Use variables to define conditions in your page branching logic. Experiences in Performance, Enterprise, Developer, and Unlimited editions where Salesforce Surveys is enabled. To create page branching logic based on field values; users need the Salesforce Surveys Advanced Features permission, which is available with the Salesforce Feedback Management license.
