TOP FEATURES OF SALESFORCE WINTER 2022 RELEASE PART 1

Another exciting release by Salesforce is coming up, which means a plethora of exciting novel features & functionality to wrap your heads around. Any release by the team at Salesforce brings goosebumps and expectations to Admins & Developers in the backend, as well as users who benefit from UI improvements in the front end. With Salesforce having released notes for the winter 2022 edition recently, let's take a look at what Salesforce has in store for all of us with this release.

1. Flow updates - The amount of updates Flow is a real game-changer, and the Winter2022 release carries on this tradition. These updates include:

Record-Triggered Flow Start Element Changes

Call a Subflow from a Record-Triggered Flow

Screen Flow: New Roll Back Records Element

Relabel the Navigation Buttons in a Screen Flow

Ability to Reconnect Flow Elements in Auto-Layout

Configure Batch Size for Scheduled Paths in Record-Triggered Flows

New ‘Minutes’ Options for Offsets (for Scheduled Paths in Record-Triggered Flows)

Debugging Enhancements for Record-Triggered Flow

2. Einstein Search - This is one of the many AI powered features available to users. With the winter 2022 release, it will be enabled by default.

3. Lightning Page Performance - With this particular release, the additional features to note are:

The user can see org-specific metrics including your users network latency, browser speed, and number of cores – giving the user enhanced visibility into actual load speeds.

On creating a page in the Lightning App Builder, the performance analysis will run automatically, giving suggestions if the performance is not up to the mark.

If you’re using custom Lightning Components, Salesforce will give a detailed analysis. This includes suggestions if you’re component contains External CSS and unminified Javascript etc…

4. Dynamic Gauge Charts in Dashboards - Till now gauge charts have allowed users to measure KPIs against static numerical goals but now it will be able to counter dynamically to a business. 

5. New forecast category - All those familiar with collaborative forecasting know that there are 4 types of forecast categories : Pipeline, Best Case, Commit & Closed. Now there is a 5th one available. It's called - most likely. This allows further segmentation of sales user's opportunity groups.

6. “Your Account” App - The billing portion of salesforce has been reimagined. This is the area where users get to see Salesforce invoices, products, and contracts. For those in the know with Checkout” in Salesforce classic via the setup screen, it is now called “Manage Subscriptions”. If you are a lightning user, you can access your account via the setup cog, and clicking on “Your Account”.

7. Dynamic Interactions - It allows allow developers to create Lightning Components that dynamically react to user activity on another component.
