CAN SALESFORCE HELP WITH PROJECT MANAGEMENT?

Publish date:

“As you navigate through the rest of your life, be open to collaboration. Other people and other people’s ideas are often better than your own.” –  Quote by Amy Poehler, comedian, and actress

The universe of Salesforce is expanding say Salesforce partners. With three launches every year introducing new features and upgrades to existing ones, for those using or in their universe, these are always eagerly awaited times. People and Salesforce partners wait with eager anticipation to see what new discoveries await them with each launch. However, for those who work on project management, alas there is no fully functional tool/solution for it so far. However, all is not lost. There are some options within the Salesforce universe that are worth checking out. So, let's explore them.

Basic project management features. If your needs are simple such as tracking the work of team members as well as collaborating with small teams, then Salesforce can do the work. Of course, these features are no substitute for the real deal of project management apps such as our very own ProjecLeo, but with small teams and small task requirements, it should suffice as per Salesforce partners.

Project management apps outside of Salesforce. As the requirements grow in organisations over time, then it is time to harness apps available in the market such as Microsoft Project, Asana, Monday.com, Smartsheet, etc. All of these are good tools/apps outside the Salesforce orbit say Salesforce partners.  These need to be integrated with your Salesforce edition using API or third-party apps. The data is transferred and stored outside of Salesforce which poses its own security risks. To integrate etc, you would need Salesforce partners like Codleo Consulting to ensure smooth integration and support. This does impact the finances of the company as more needs to be shelled out to make it work for you.

Salesforce-native Project Management Apps on AppExchange. The third option for consideration is project management apps that were built specifically for Salesforce and are available on AppExchange. These include Inspire Planner, TaskRay, Mission Control, Milestones PM+, and others. Ask your Salesforce partners for more details.

If none of the above options works for you then it is time to consider getting a project management app like ProjecLeo where A to Z of project management is included.  You can create, plan, execute, monitor, and share your projects online for your team reveals Salesforce partners. Your project team can focus on their tasks and know exactly what is expected. As they work on tasks, your project plan updates automatically in real time. In addition, with all the amazing features, you'll get back one day every week to do more of what you love!
