Salesforce’s annual flagship conference - Dreamforce is coming up soon. It’s just a fortnight away. It’s the event of the year for Salesforce personnel. With different workshops daily, innumerable networking opportunities, and social opportunities, it is an event all Salesforce personnel look forward to and should attend at least once in their lifetime. It is held in San Francisco and the dates for this year are 12 to 14th September. The 1st Dreamforce event took place in 2003 so this year is special as it marks the 20th year or 2 decades of the event. This year the event is on a hybrid model (virtual + in-person) attracting a larger audience. It attracts around 2 lakh people in person where they get a chance to increase their knowledge on various tools, products, features, and functions. People attend various lectures and presentations by senior people of note.
The mega event attracts Salesforce admins, developers, architects, freshers, and Trailblazers alike. It is open to all with tickets priced at USD 1899 per person. The Dreamforce 2023 agenda includes around 1100 sessions spread over the 3 days. Participants can attend keynote addresses for favorite products, as well as smaller meetings/sessions/presentations in different venues. Accommodation is wide in downtown San Francisco from luxury hotels to Airbnb and hostels. All get snapped up fast, so people must book in advance to get rooms and decent prices. If the city hotel options are not happening, then rely on efficient public transport to get you to the city center from nearby suburbs. It’s a slight commute of over 30 minutes or more, but affordable accommodation makes up for it.
While Dreamforce 2023 is a great learning and networking site, it also allows for letting one’s hair down and having a good night. There are a host of social events, parties, and concerts for people to attend. Concerts by leading bands such as Red Hot Chili Peppers, Metallica and The Foo Fighters have been scheduled in the past. Wonder who is performing this year?
The CEO of Salesforce, Inc is Mr. Marc Benioff and India is represented by its dynamic head, Ms. Arundhati Bhattacharya, ex-MD of State Bank of India. Codleo MD Mr. RS Maan has attended this event in the past and says nostalgically about it – “It is a very exciting event and the highlight for me was the brief exchange with Marc, I had when I attended the same in 2015.
