LAUNCHING SALESFORCE ANYWHERE APP

“ Necessity is the mother of all inventions” – an old English adage.

Every news item, social media post and tech inventions in 2020 revolve around the novel coronavirus and its ensuing pandemic Covid-19 which has killed hundreds of thousands with millions currently recovering from its effects. As the world settles down to a “new normal”, everything now seems geared towards making work from home, and work-life balance. So in this midst of this gloom and despair, Salesforce has launched a new application (also known as apps in the short form) which while being embedded in Salesforce is meant to foster great collaboration. In this blog, we shall read more about this new app and its wonders.

Just as Salesforce Einstein seamlessly integrates with Customer 360, so does this new launch. It has powerful collaboration tools that will come very handy in this corona times and thereafter as offices wind down and working from home is allowed in more businesses. With social distancing being the norm, crowded offices are a no-no, safety for all is the mantra of every nation, business, community, and person. With team members scattered and communication taking a beating, Salesforce has stepped in to fill this gap with the collaborative tool – Anywhere app.

How does the app help a business:

  • The app allows you to tune into alerts based on the accounts, records and opportunities from anywhere any device and anytime. All team members/stakeholders are updated on any information/news the moment it is updated on this app by a team member.
  • Team members can message and share information, records, opportunities via chat options, or video. A new real-time chat and video experience powered by Amazon chime will be integrated onto the platform. Zoom will be made available as an out-of-the-box integration to enable businesses to use video conferencing options of their own choice.
  • The app allows the concerned person to take action in real-time. A tea member may use in-line comments to give suggestions to any part of a record that needs inputs and get personalized actions powered by Einstein to update things that matter.
  • Data is safe, secure, in a centralised place with easy access.

The app will be useful for all Salesforce users to collaborate effortlessly with team members in various locations like never before. Every one will be as productive as they use to be in office settings and for those in customer-centric profiles up to date with chat, alerts, comments, and video embedded directly into the Salesforce experience. Everyone is on the same page and work together with no communication gaps. It is simple, fast, and user friendly thus ensuring smooth adoption by the user base.
