DIFFERENT WAYS ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE CAN EMPOWERS SALES TEAMS

Artificial intelligence (AI) is continuing its migration out of the research lab and into the world of business. Leading companies across hundreds of industries are harnessing its power — from banks analysing countless data points in seconds to detect fraud, to call centres deploying chatbots to improve customer interactions. AI has tremendous potential for improving the way organisations operate. This next wave of AI will enable companies to continuously adapt processes based on past experience — ushering in vast improvements in customer targeting, for instance, because deep learning algorithms will be able to spot patterns in behaviour that are more likely to lead to sales. In supply chains and manufacturing, potential benefits will include predictive maintenance of equipment, along with yield and inventory optimisation. Here are the different ways AI can boost the sales department: 

  • Let AI be your office administrative department. Let AI automate activity logging, prioritise top-priority emails, and create a list of contacts / prospects for the company. Free up the salespeople from doing mundane and repetitive tasks. With the administrative tasks and chores are taken care of AI, the sales people can focus on their core task – SELLING. 

  • Classifying leads as per their convertibility. AI prioritises leads based on certain identified factors as “hot” or “cold”. This enables the sales team to focus their energy on the hot leads that are most likely to convert into sales. Thus, ÁI takes care of this aspect of sales as well, allowing focus and time saving for the human beings of the sales team. . AI is also able to give the answers and schemes to woo clients based on past achievements and success.

  • Forecasts and predictions.  AI is very good in making predictions and forecasts for the future. 

  • Use past data to close new deals. Many times, sales departments have to look at past deals or unsuccessful outings to gain insightful information. This information is used for closing new deals etc. This is where the AI steps in and helps.  It collates all the data to approach all potential deals in a different way and with a bigger chance of success. It provides potential suggestions that enable the sales team to nail the deals.
