In order to sit for the exam, there is no pre - requisites in terms of backgrounds or qualifications of the candidates.  To begin your career, a person must put in a lot of hard work, and then clear the Salesforce Certified Administrator exam. It is believed that about 120 hours of studying is required for clearing the exam the first time it is attempted.

With the realisation that CRMs are integral to the growth of a company, more and more companies are adopting this tech tool. And with Salesforce becoming a rising force in emerging markets such as India, more and more jobs are going to be in the horizon. The profile of a Salesforce admin has 5 avenues which are:

  • Administrator - the entry level profile for one and all

  • Advanced administrator - This profile is for experienced admins that have some years of experience.

  • CPQ specialist - for people with experience creating, building, and executing quoting flows with Salesforce Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ), technology used to boost sales teams.

  • Marketing Cloud Administrator - for administrators who set up and fix configuration & user requests in Marketing Cloud, including subscriber data management and Setup navigation

  • Platform App Builder - Profile for those versed in designing, building, and implementing custom applications
