“One of the marvellous things about community is that it enables us to welcome and help people in a way we couldn't as individuals. When we pool our strength and share the work and responsibility, we can welcome many people, even those in deep distress, and perhaps help them find self-confidence and inner healing.” ― Quote by Jean Vanier, Community and Growth.

The Covid-19 pandemic has left the entire world singed as it sweeps crosses borders and continents. As millions are getting infected and thousands dying, countries head for lockdowns and businesses taking a bad beating. Codleo has also been at the receiving end of Coronavirus with the loss of some of its clients. However, in the face of adversity, Codleo is determined to shine bright and smile wide. We are determined to help our communities in all the ways possible.  Here are some humble ways which we are doing our bit:

No lay-offs:  Unlike other companies worldwide who are sending their employees on “leave without pay” or “Furloughs” or just simply lay-offs Codleo is not doing so. All its employees have their jobs secure in these terrible times. This is reassuring the families of the 20 plus young employees based in New Delhi, where we are located.

Salaries on time – Even in these dark days, Codleo is paying all the employees their full salaries as per the normal schedule. We are not deviating from the timelines as we know the value of hard-earned money and the importance of these on-time salaries in the running of the homes.

Salary increments – Another step in helping the Codleo family and its community is that we are committed to giving all of its team members, a salary increment for the year 2020-21. Around us, as companies of all shapes and sizes are announcing pay-cuts, no bonuses or benefits, Codleo is one of the few companies to go in the opposite direction.

Donation to Non –Profits: Codleo has also made a small contribution in terms of a financial donation to Non-profit organisations to help the deprived and marginalised sections of society in North-West Delhi who have been hit very badly by the ongoing lockdown in India. We are also encouraging our employees, our clients’ and partners to do their bit in this crisis. We all have the power to help the needy in these challenging times. The power of one is within us all.

Supporting our clients – Codleo is also extending help to certain valued clients in these difficult months with their social media postings & presence even though they are unable to pay us. We are doing this as a goodwill gesture and our support to our clients who are also our family.

Helping local communities – Codleo family is extending support to the staff of a school in North-West Delhi. This is, in turn, helps their families to breathe easily in the age of coronavirus.

Our little steps are just our way of extending support to our community, real and virtual. How are you helping others? Write in and let us know.  We could brainstorm and find creative ways of doing more. Stay home, stay safe.
